The NJROTC Marksmanship teams traveled to Lubbock, Texas over the weekend of Oct. 26 for the Lubbock High School “Westerner” Air Rifle Meet, where Santa Fe High’s Sporter Team placed first and the Precision Team placed fifth.

“We are incredibly proud of both teams, but it should be noted that we just added a Precision Team in September and this was only their second competition,” said Chief Patricia Schipp. “So obviously we are pleased with their growth and expect big things from them in the future.”

Several cadets will be receiving medals for their individual accomplishments in Prone, Standing, and Kneeling (shooting positions).
