The NFL Draft is the time of the year when NFL teams take players out of college to play for their team. The team with the worst record in the past season always gets the first pick, and they work their way down. With less than a week left until the 2018 NFL Draft, I’ll be predicting the top 15 picks of the first round in the NFL Draft.

Pick #1: Cleveland Browns — Sam Darnold (QB)
The Browns have a history of selecting the wrong person in the draft. The Browns, who are in need of a quarterback, should select Darnold for his efficiency at the position, but nothing is guaranteed with the Browns.

Pick #2: New York Giants — Saquon Barkley (RB)
After a miserable season for the Giants, their running backs haven’t proved much, or in the past couple of seasons either. Barkley will bring his talent to New York and could potentially make the Giants a playoff contender.

Pick #3: New York Jets — Josh Allen (QB)
This pick would make sense for the Jets. They are in need of a quarterback, and Allen could definitely be the future of the team. The Jets with Allen could potentially bring competition to the New England Patriots in their division.

Pick #4: Cleveland Browns — Bradley Chubb (DE)
The Browns’ defense is coming together, but it’s still missing some key pieces. Chubb’s defensive talent would fit perfectly in Cleveland — this move would make sense for the Browns.

Pick #5: Denver Broncos — Minkah Fitzpatrick (DB)
Denver is desperate for playmakers in the back end, especially after the departure of Aqib Talib. Fitzpatrick has an ideal combination of versatility, ball skills, and intelligence that fits into Denver’s system.

Pick #6: Indianapolis Colts — Denzel Ward (DB)
The Colts’ roster is in terrible shape, which makes it tough to be sure what they will do here. Ward is the top cover defensive back in the draft this year and would give the Colts a chance in the backfield with Quincy Wilson.

Pick #7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Quenton Nelson (OG)
The Bucs offense hasn’t yet been what they originally wanted. First thing they should do is to add more pieces around Jameis Winston. Nelson would be a huge asset in both the running and passing game for the Bucs.

Pick #8: Chicago Bears -— Tremaine Edmunds (LB)
Edmunds is one of the most talked about players in the draft. In my eyes, he goes to the Bears, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s off the boards before the eighth pick.

Pick #9: San Francisco 49ers — Roquan Smith (LB)
Roquan Smith is a talented defensive playmaker who could bring the missing piece to the 49ers’ defense. This move is especially important for the franchise due to the starting LB Reuben Foster dealing with legal issues.

Pick #10: Oakland Raiders — Vita Vea (DT)
While this may be a surprise pick, I think Vita Vea could bring his pass-rushing talent to a team that hasn’t been too hot defensively. The Raiders have options, but Vea seems to be the most logical.

Pick #11: Miami Dolphins -— Baker Mayfield (QB)
The quarterback position for Miami has been struggling. Time is running out on Ryan Tannehill, who missed the past two seasons with a torn ACL, and the best option for the Dolphins is to rebuild a new team. Mayfield would bring the leadership to Miami and could bring this team back up on its feet.

Pick #12: Buffalo Bills — Josh Rosen (QB)
After finally making the playoffs last season, and ending the NFL’s longest playoff drought, the Bills still have work to do. Moving on from Tyrod Taylor was a first step, and a quarterback is a need for Buffalo. Josh Rosen would fit in well, and I believe he will be their franchise QB.

Pick #13: Washington Redskins — Derrius Guice (RB)
This would be a little early for Guice to get picked, but while the Redskins are in desperate need of a running back, Guice would fit in perfectly.

Pick #14: Green Bay Packers — Marcus Davenport (OLB)
The Packers need to add more talent to their edge rush group. Davenport has the skill to help out Green Bay on the defensive side of the ball.

Pick #15: Arizona Cardinals — Calvin Ridley (WR)
If the Cardinals don’t land a quarterback, they definitely need an offensive playmaker. Wideout Calvin Ridley would be the right man for the job.
