The Swim and Dive team has had a successful season so far. They have competed in six meets and have two more remaining this year.
In these five meets, the team had one first place finish at the Taos Mini Invite. They have had two second place finishes at the Bill Hudson Invite and the Academy Invite, a fifth place finish at the Griffin Invite, and a fourth place finish at the Cleveland Invite.
Senior Henry Lyons won both the 200-free and 100-fly events at Cleveland. Santa Fe had more success at the Cleveland meet, winning both the 200-medley relay and the 400-free relay.
The team is composed of 27 swimmers (14 boys and 12 girls) and 1 diver, senior Greta Smith.
Indy Khalsa, a sophomore on the team, said, “It is a fun team with a lot of nice people.”
The team’s next meet is the District Championships at Farmington, on Feb. 9 and 10.
