SFHS orchestra student Satcha Lopez Gonzales was awarded first prize for the annual Nacha Mendez Music Scholarship for New Mexican Girls of Color on May 15, according to orchestra director Gabe Tafoya. Satcha attend an event at Site Santa Fe and was awarded a cash scholarship to continue her music studies.
