NJROTC State Champions for Fourth Year Running
April 1, 2019
Santa Fe High’s NJROTC became State Champions on March 30 for the fourth year in a row. In addition to becoming Overall State Champions, the Demons are also 2019 State Drill Champions and 2019 State Air Rifle Champions.
“These cadets have worked incredibly hard all year, and we are so very proud of them and their accomplishments,” said Chief Patricia Schipp. She explained that during this competitive season, which is seven months long, the teams have won a total of 120 trophies.

Good Morning Lorenzo,
If you join an NJROTC program and complete at least two years in the program, you can enlist in the military as an E2 instead of an E1 (so you go up one rank). If you do three years or more in an NJROTC program, you can go in to the Navy as an E3 (the Navy is the only service who does E3, all the other services only go as far as E2).
You do not have to be on an NJROTC team (like drill, marksmanship, etc) to use this benefit, you can just be in an NJROTC class – but no matter what, you have to be officially enrolled in the program.
I hope this helps and you can email or call me if you have more questions.
