Lucia Jimenez is a life skills teacher who started working at Santa Fe High in 2017. When asked about her profession, she said, “I enjoy every day because every day is different.” She continued, “I enjoy working with exceptional students.”

Ms. Jimenez is originally from Santa Fe and attended Santa Fe Community College, where she earned a degree in special education. She chose to become a teacher because, she said, “I enjoy working with special students. It is challenging and rewarding.”

In her free time she likes going on long drives and going to the park for picnics. “I just love spending time in the outdoors,” she said.

Ms. Jimenez also has a son named Dominic Vasquez, who attends ECO.
