Student Government
Student Government is a group of students elected to represent the school and help
improve it, mostly by making better choices for students. Anyone can be a member of
student government but seniors hold the elected positions. This is a great opportunity for
students to give ideas and make their voices heard.
Gina Branch is the advisor of student government as well as the Activities Coordinator
for SFHS, and she does have an assistant to help out with student government. She’s an
associate advisor and is trying to “bring back school spirit”. She feels that she’ll bring
new perspectives and ideas to the table.
The purpose of the Santa Fe High School student government is to encourage students to
make better decisions and help them out through the year, especially by motivating them
to keep trying hard in class.
Student Government right now is trying to get students to bring themed ideas for games
and stuff like that and trying to make student government bigger than in the past and to
get more students involved.
