Jared Jones joined the Santa Fe High School staff in 2022 as an Algebra 1 teacher. He also coaches the defensive backs for the SFHS football team. 

Originally from Santa Fe, Mr. Jones graduated from Santa Fe High  in 2018. Nicknamed “Moose,” he was a running back and a linebacker for the Demons from 2015 to 2018. 

Mr. Jones attended Eastern New Mexico University, where he earned degrees in psychology and social work. When asked about why he chose these fields,  he said, “I chose social work to have an impact on students,” adding, “I enjoy the students.”

His hobbies include weightlifting at Santa Fe High’s gym. He also enjoys coaching football. Since he is a local, he enjoys getting to see his family, who live in town.
