Karina Beltrán

Karina Beltrán teaches Spanish 1, AP Spanish Literature, and AP Spanish Language. She joined the staff of Santa Fe High in 2018.
Ms. Beltrán said she enjoys her career because of the connections her students make between history and their everyday lives. She chose this career because she loves to teach students and read with them. She encourages students to read as much as they can and adds, “Homework is due every day at 11:59 p.m.”
Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Ms. Beltrán was brought to Santa Fe by her parents when she was young. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from UNM, in addition to an associate’s degree in Sign Language interpreting, a minor in Portuguese, a master’s degree in Spanish, and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies.
In her free time, Ms. Beltrán enjoys reading and traveling all around the world. She has three cats and is the oldest of three daughters. She loves spending time with her family and friends.
