Demon Softball: Building Bonds This Season

The girls softball season is almost over. As it comes down to the last few games, their record is 3-16 overall and 0-6 in district.

The team has a roster of 14 players. As of April 12, they have played 15 games. However, only three of these games resulted in wins, leaving the team lower in the rankings. Although losses can be hard, it still gives the players more experience and practice.

The team also has a new coach, Angelica Quintana.

Most of the players have had to alternate between JV and varsity due to a lack of players to fill the roster, making the season somewhat difficult. But this also created a better bond among the teammates as they have played together more frequently. Vanessa Lopez, who plays second base, said, “I feel that we have come together more this year and that has helped our playing.”
