The Turquoise Teapot and Cat Cafe is the first cat cafe in Santa Fe. The cafe is cat-themed and consists of separated free-access rooms and the cat lounge, which requires a payment. It offers food, including bakery items, tea, coffee, and cats. The cafe is said to be a warm and open space to unwind and rest with cats. On top of that, if you end up bonding with a cat then you are able to adopt the cat! The cafe is partnered with Feline and Friends, where you can fill out the adoption for the cats at this website. You can also view the cats here.
The cafe has two stories. The downstairs area includes the check-out counter where the barista makes the drinks and the cat lounge; the counter is located to the left, while the cat lounge is located to the right (if you keep heading straight). The stairs to the upstairs area are also located to the right; In addition, the stairs have cabinets on them where they promote items the cafe is selling. The upstairs area includes a free-access seating area for anyone who wishes to enjoy drinks without spending time in the cat lounge; there are still cats in view of the area but you are unable to play with them.
The cafe’s menu consists of many different flavored teas, tea lattes, coffees, specialty beverages, and foods. Some of the flavored teas the cafe offers include black, green, white, herbal, and more. Also, the iced tea offers flavors in black and herbal only. However, the tea lattes over a variety such as chai, matcha, horchata, and strawberry matcha. The coffee is more limited but still offers a good selection; for example, the coffee includes brewed, latte, cold brew, and cafe au lait. Additionally, the specialty beverages are seasonal drinks that rotate, hot chocolate, smoothies, and Italian cream soda. Finally, the food offered are rotating bakery items and oatmeal.
