Sheyenne Johnson is a therapist for Project AWARE, which is a program created to support Native students by providing counseling, navigation, and support services. She started working here at Santa Fe High in 2024 at the start of the school year.
Sheyenne was born in Florida, but then was raised in Oregon. She moved to Oregon when she was just a baby. Her mother drove clear across the nation from Florida to Oregon. She attended a little high school in the grand in Oregon. She then attended Eastern Oregon University for her undergrad, she studied both fine arts and psychology. She then went to grad school for counseling and art therapy.
She has a half sister, her name is Shay, and she lives in Chicago. Sheyenne has a niece and nephew through her sister, and nieces and nephews through marriage. She also has 4 cats and 2 dogs.
In her free time, she enjoys doing art, DIY’s, reading, and she likes to game. “I love going to antique stores and thrifting.” She also just likes to Netflix and chill. ”I love true crime documentaries, stary stories, and I just love the horror genre.”
