Ivan Head Stadium has had its field replaced. In addition to new turf, the end zone has been painted to show Demon colors.
Andrew Martinez, head Demon football coach, explained the reason for this renovation: “Ten years is the lifetime for turf – it has to be replaced for safety reasons.” He said the last time the stadium’s turf was replaced was in 2011, so it was past time.
The new field is now ready for graduation and pre-season football.
(Graduating seniors and guests are reminded that spike heels are not allowed on the field as they can cause damage.)
