As the third quarter of the school year comes into full effect, the engineering department is running smoothly.
Talking with one of the engineering teachers, Mx. Walukas, they explained a new and exciting change to the department. “This year the department is attempting to make a four-year program, dual credit opportunity through the Santa Fe Community College, allowing students to earn an engineering certificate when they graduate.”
The 250 students who attend engineering classes learn how to operate workshop machines, as well as learning how to 3D model.
Overall, the engineering program is having a great year!
