The yearbook class, a group of students exclusively responsible for the production of the yearbook, is in full swing as they try to stay on track for the yearbook’s release this spring.
Ms. Johnson, who is primarily an English teacher, took up the challenge of advising the class this year after last year’s advisor, Ms. Adams, left to teach at a different school.
“These days the yearbook class is working furiously to finish the pages that need to be done before the end of the semester,” Ms. Johnson says. “When we return, they will have different pages to work on.”
Yearbook is a working class. “They do have some fun in the class,” says Ms. Johnson, “but the students in yearbook have to take their assignments seriously.” Each student is assigned several different pages at the beginning of the year, and they are required to complete them by the deadline for their grade.
