The fall semester has not seen any significant changes in the SFHS math department.
There have been some updates to the department’s faculty, with a handful of new teachers joining the school, including Janet Beck (in 2022-2023), and Laurie Goodall Slusher (2023-2024). There is also the upcoming retirement of pre-calculus teacher Mr. Tafoya at the end of this school year.
Currently, the staff is “working on getting SATs done, toned, and dialing in ideas that will help the students,” said Mr. Cox, who teaches Honors Geometry.
As the math department winds down another semester, faculty and students alike can look forward to the upcoming holiday breaks.
