The SFHS Model United Nations team attended its conference on Nov. 2 and 3 at the Roundhouse, earning a collection of awards and nominations, according to club sponsor Mr. Eadie.
Of the five delegations — Myanmar, Italy, Mozambique, Iraq, and Syria — comprised of 48 students, awards were handed out to four committees who displayed expert cooperation and proficiency in resourcefulness:
– Best Position Paper for Disarmament and International Security was awarded to Annalee Auer and Olan Macejka, demonstrating excellent research and writing skills.
– Hanbi Park and Logan Moore received Honorable Mention as the Best Delegation for UNESCO.
– Makayla Darby received Honorable Mention for Best Delegate for Security Council.
– Isa Clark, Quinn Seward, and Florian Stricks received Honorable Mention for Best Delegation for General Assembly.
