Demon Girls Golf Are District Champs

The Santa Fe High girls golf team won the District 5-5A tournament on May 1. The team will compete at the state tournament next week.
According to Coach Jason Kampsky, Karen Tian, a junior, won the tournament outright and is the individual district champion. She shot a round of 78.
Lauren Martinez-Sandoval, a sophomore, finished third individually.
And, Coach Kampsky was voted District 5-5A Girls Golf Coach of the Year by other coaches in the district.
The boys team finished third overall, behind Los Lunas. Albuquerque High, and three other teams. Jaiden Carrillo, a freshman, finished third overall individually.
