LANL Foundation Awards Scholarships to Six SFHS Seniors

Six Santa Fe High seniors have been awarded scholarships by the Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund:

Ramona Park, Silver Scholar ($15,000), will be pursuing visual arts and computer science at Harvard University.

Rowan Cahill, Bronze Scholar ($5,000), will be pursuing computer science and mechanical engineering at Colorado School of Mines.

Madeline Grantham-Philips, Bronze Scholar ($5,000), will attend Fordham University (undeclared major).

Wyatte Grantham-Philips, Bronze Scholar ($5,000), will be pursuing journalism and communications at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

Bradley Moffett, Bronze Scholar ($5,000), will be pursuing biochemistry and medicine at the University of Arizona.

Summer Romero, Bronze Scholar ($5,000), will be pursuing math and comparative race and ethnic studies at the University of Chicago.

In addition to being a Silver Scholar, Ramona Park was also named the first ever Founders’ Scholar at the celebratory banquet for both donors and scholars on May 7.

The Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund works in conjunction with Los Alamos National Labs and the LANL Foundation to provide students from Northern New Mexico with one-time only or multi-year recurring scholarships for pursuing a degree in higher education.

The applications window for 2019 four-year awards opens October 2018.
