Best of Santa Fe: Where Is It?

Best of Santa Fe: Where Is It?

Alcion Calderon, Author

We live in the Land of Enchantment, a veritable treasure trove of beloved New Mexican foods, restaurants, people, places and things. Throughout the year we have restaurants and food trucks that are popular with summer tourists and also local places that bring us the fuel we run on for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

With so many choices, which are our favorites? Through a survey of nearly 300 Santa Fe High students, we’ve gathered data on the cuisine that is right in our backyards. Here are the results. (The number of number-one votes follow in parentheses; the choices that received the same number of votes are listed with a slash between them.)

Below are Santa Fe’s top New Mexican restaurants, ranked according to students.

1. Blake’s (69)
2. El Parasol (38)
3. Tomasita’s (26)
4. Blue Corn Cafe/The Pantry (19)
