Brandi Cordova

Brandi Cordova, the new assistant to Principal Salazar-Garcia, has many tasks. She helps run the office, works with attendance, works the front desk, manages the principal’s calendar and emails, and performs any other administrative tasks that are needed. Ms. Cordova began her position in 2022.
Originally from Gallup, N.M., Ms. Cordova said she ended up in Santa Fe in 2016. Her oldest son, Noah, graduated from Santa Fe High in 2019, while her other two kids, Macy and Josh, are still students here.
When Ms. Cordova was in high school, she played softball and she danced for Gallup’s dance team. She graduated from Gallup High School and worked in athletics there, which is where she met her husband.
Before working at Santa Fe High, Ms. Cordova worked at Northern New Mexico College once her kids were old enough to go to school.
Though she is actually a realtor, she said she likes working at schools. She enjoys being involved with students. ”I like to help people. I like for people to be able to come in here and feel safe. I like the interaction,¨ she said.
Ms. Cordova said she also likes the hours, the vacation time, Santa Fe’s High’ s community, and being a part of different committees, including serving as Booster Club president. Her recent project was starting the powder puff games for the juniors and seniors for Homecoming.
In her free time Ms. Cordova enjoys working out, being involved with her kids’ basketball programs, and spending time with her family. Her husband is a basketball coach, and she has always encouraged her kids to be involved in sports as well.
“Family is my priority,” she said.
